The Southern Nevada Health District’s Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is a community engagement group of young people ages 14 to 17, or students entering their sophomore or junior year, from across Clark County, Nevada. Members come from diverse backgrounds and identities to bring different experiences and unique perspectives on various health topics that ensure public health strategies are relevant and accessible to youth needs in Clark County and Southern Nevada.

Youth are valued and empowered as decision makers in Southern Nevada to lead long-term change and solutions for the betterment of youth now and future generations. We encourage teens interested in opportunities to support community health to apply for this unique role.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Resident of Clark County, Nevada.
Between the ages of 14 – 17, or students entering their sophomore or junior year, and attend a zoned Clark County school with an approved HOSA Charter
Serve for one academic year.
Available for designated meeting times.
Parental or Guardian consent for applicants under the age of 18.
